A note from Head Floral Designer Karla: As a lifelong resident of Troy, Missouri, my love for flowers began on my family’s farm nestled in the heart of this beautiful community. Surrounded by the open prairie, I spent my childhood outdoors, picking flowers with my grandmother and enjoying the simple beauty of nature. Our land bloomed with snowball bushes (white and pink peonies), purple irises (blue flags), daffodils, butterfly milkweed, and fragrant lilac bushes. My mother, Billie Jean, tended a rustic rose garden filled with vibrant pink, yellow, and red tea roses, bordered by repurposed railroad ties. These blooms became part of our everyday life—fresh flowers and greenery always adorned our dinner table from spring through fall. Even in winter, we brought nature indoors with freshly cut evergreens from our trees. As the lead floral designer at your trusted Troy florist, I bring those cherished memories into every arrangement. I’ve spent years designing fresh and permanent floral pieces for all occasions—weddings, celebrations, memorials, and everyday moments.
